The Georgia Tech Program for Engineering Entrepreneurship is designed to provide Georgia Tech students with information on whether a technology is ripe for commercialization, how to obtain financing, and how to plan for early operations.
Georgia Tech students are famous for their inventive capacity and practical engineering approach to solving real world problems. Many of these ideas can be commercialized into useful products for millions of customers.
Entrepreneurs need support and excitement to sustain them through long hours of hard work. The road to commercialization requires knowledge of business practices, budgeting, operations, and market analysis. We try to help new entrepreneurs gain knowledge and confidence in their quest.
Many students become hooked with the notion of entrepreneurship but do not have time for a two-year traditional MBA. Some students find that a short introduction to business is an efficient way of gaining a broad overview of the field.
The Certificate on Engineering Entrepreneurship recognizes a four course sequence that provides more specific skills directed towards entrepreneurship in an efficient manner.
